The Case Against "Modern Orthodoxy" Update

I have replaced Friday morning's Case Against "Modern Orthodoxy" piece with a major re-write. I think I had played a little fast and loose with the word "tradition," and had produced a rather murky, and sensationally turgid, series of opening paragraphs. That part is cleaner now (though I remain suspicious of my consistency with "language," and that might be what I go after next), and maybe it's even a bit snappier. Any thoughts?
