The Case Against "Modern Orthodoxy" Update
B"H
I have replaced Friday morning's Case Against "Modern Orthodoxy" piece with a major re-write. I think I had played a little fast and loose with the word "tradition," and had produced a rather murky, and sensationally turgid, series of opening paragraphs. That part is cleaner now (though I remain suspicious of my consistency with "language," and that might be what I go after next), and maybe it's even a bit snappier. Any thoughts?
Shavua tov!

leaner! meaner!
& i forgot to say last time how much i love the clay analogy. i never did that with modeling clay, but i do remember how satisfying fishing wire is on just regular moist clay, the maps & forms it creates. yum.

No need to be meaner, however, sometimes less is more.
As much as I adore your casual use of words such as "ennuie", & as much as I love getting lost in the fog of your dense & multisyllabic verbiage, Ohevi, I think you will broaden your audience if you tailor it with mass consumption in mind.
Can we say, "MacTorah"?
